Concrete
Examination and Testing, isdesigned to review
ASME Section III, Division 2, requirements for examination and testing inclusive
of ASTM methods and procedures. Personnel qualification, certification, and
verification requirements are reviewed and examined.
In addition, this course reinforces the ANI duties and responsibilities
relative to the testing, examination, and placement of concrete constituents and
any associated reinforcing and prestressing systems.
Note: This course does not address structural integrity or vacuum box
tests.

Outcomes
After completing this
course, students will be able to:
Review
Terminology specific to concrete as specified in ASME Section III, Subsections
NCA-9200 and Mandatory Appendix D2-11.
Compare
concrete terminology and Code requirements with Authorized Nuclear Inspector
(ANI Concrete) duties and responsibilities.
Identify
personnel qualifications for examination and testing of concrete in accordance
with ASME Section III, CC-5000, Appendix D2-V, and ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
Describe the various test methods, frequency, and requirements to be performed
for different concrete constituents.
Explain
the examination requirements for reinforcing and prestressing
systems.
