Inspection of Concrete Construction, is an online course designed designed to review the elements of a Construction Specification as specified in CC-4000 for construction of concrete containments, highlighting the associated requirements for an Authorized Nuclear Inspector (Concrete) and Authorized Nuclear Inspector Supervisor (Concrete).  

Learning Outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to:  

  • Recall and explain Authorized Nuclear Inspector Concrete duties associated with ASME Section III, CC-4200 Concrete Construction, per ASME Section III, QAI-1, and NB-263, RCI-1.
  • Identify concrete construction requirements included in a Construction Specification.
  • Analyze a Construction Specification for ASME Section III, CC-4200.
  • State the identification and certification requirements for concrete material.

Reference Materials
Each student is required to have the following materials (currently mandated edition):

  • AMSE Section III, Div. 1 and 2, Subsection NCA, Rules for Construction of Nuclear Facility Components -- General Requirements for Division 1 and Division 2
  • ASME Section III, Div. 2, Subsection CC, Rules for Construction of Nuclear Facility Components -- Code for Concrete Containment
  • ASME QAI-1,  Qualifications for Authorized Inspection
  • NB-263, RCI-1, National Board Rules for Commissioned Inspectors

Criteria for Successful Completion
As a minimum, for a National Board Certificate of Completion to be issued, students must:
