Nondestructive Examination Personnel and Methods (Nuclear Inservice), is an online course  designed to provide knowledge to the authorized nuclear inservice inspector in the area of NDE methods and the qualifications of NDE personnel working in a nuclear facility.

Learning Outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to:  

  • Identify and describe various types of Nondestructive Examination methods used for ASME Section XI nuclear inservice inspection.
  • Explain the qualification requirements for Nuclear NDE personnel as required to meet Section XI.
  • Understand the five levels of personnel qualification defined in terms of the skills and knowledge required for specific activities and techniques.

  • ASME Section V, Nondestructive Examination
  • ASME Section XI, Rules for Inservice Inspection of Nuclear Power Plant Components
  • ASNT CP-189
