Certified Individual: Pressure Relief Valves ASME Section I, is an online course designed for Manufacturers and Assemblers of ASME Section I pressure relief valves when preparing their employees for designation as Certified Individuals. The focus is on the Certified Individual's responsibilities, duties, and ASME Code requirements applicable to the ASME Certification Mark involving the V designator.

The knowledge a Certified Individual needs to perform his/her responsibilities varies depending upon the type of pressure relief valve being manufactured, and whether the organization is functioning as a Manufacturer or Assembler. This course provides activity assessments specific to device type (pressure relief valve or non-reclosing device) as well as the service for which the device is being manufactured (boiler, heating boiler, hot water heater, or pressure vessel).

This course consists of modules covering scope, selection, material requirements, capacity certification, manufacturing requirements, assembler requirements, and marking and certification. The last module provides a final assessment consisting of a 20 question multiple-choice test. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass the assessment and the course.
