Modularization Techniques and
ASME Code Rules, is an online course designed to provide an understanding of how to apply
Code rules regarding Shop Assembly and Field Installation activities as they
relate to modularization techniques. Students will use ASME Section III, Rules for Construction and
Nuclear Facility Components, as
specified for primarily Class 1 components (NB), but will
also learn about other classifications that affect the scenarios presented.
This course has an audio component. Students will need audio capability
(speakers/headset) for these sessions.
Learning
Outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to:
Recognize modularization techniques and benefits.
Identify terms and definitions associated with Code Assembly/Installation.
Describe the responsibilities of the
Owner and N-Type Certificate Holders.
Differentiate between the N, NV, and NA Certificate Scopes.
Explain
stamping requirements and identify the correct Data Reports to be used.
Associate
Code Assembly/Installation with modularization activities while using a piping
system installation example.
Apply
examples with required Code rules.
