National Board R Accreditation: Application, Review, and
Renwal ia a COMPLIMENTARY course outlines the
process through which a repair organization applies for an NBBI
R (Repair) Certificate of Authorization. Learners will
learn the prerequisites for being issued an R Certificate and
how to complete Form NB-12 to apply.
Next, learners will learn about the
Team Review, when representatives from an Authorized Inspection Agency, NBBI,
and/or the local jurisdiction evaluate an applicant's facility and Quality
Management System (QMS) to assure they are compliant with National Board
Inspection Code (NBIC) and NB-415 requirements before issuance is granted.
How an R Certificate Holder can renew their certificate
online through the NBBI Business Center, and how to submit a revision
application if the scope of work, address, or company name have changed are also
discussed.
Finally, policies and rules concerning use of the
R Stamp when making repairs or alterations to
pressure-retaining items, and NBIC Part 3 QMS requirements are reviewed.
