National Board Inspection
Code,
Part 1, Installation, is an online course designed to provide students with a broader
understanding of the requirements of Part 1, Installation, of the
National Board Inspection Code.
Once completed, students will have
a fundamental understanding of the installation of pressure-retaining items.
Learning
Outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to:
Apply proper inspection techniques for the installation
of boilers, pressure vessels, piping, andother pressure-retaining items
for safe and satisfactory operations.
Identify Inspector responsibilities and complete
documentation when providing inservice inspection for the
facility in which the pressure-retaining item is installed.
Conduct
inservice inspections based on the NBIC, jurisdictional requirements,
manufacturer's recommednations, and/or other industry standards, as
applicable.
