National Board Inspection
Code,
Part 2, Inspection, is an online course designed to provide
students with a broader understanding of the requirements of Part 2,
Inspection, of the National Board Inspection Code.
Once completed, students will have
a fundamental understanding of the inspection of pressure-retaining items.

Outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to:
Undertand the general requirements for conducting an inservice
inspection of a pressure-retaining item.
Identify pre- and post-inspection activities.
Identify general and detailed inspection requirements to
determine
corrosion deterioration and possible prevention of failures for
boilers, pressure vessel, piuping, and pressure relief
valves.
Explain corrosion
and failure mechanisms.
Understand
examination, test methods, and evaluations.
Explain
stamping, documentation, the forms required for inspection of
pressure-retaining items.
