Installation Inspection
of Modular Boilers is an online coursedesigned
to provide Inservice Inspectors guidance on ASME Section IV and NBIC Parts
1 and 2 as related to individual and assembled modular steam and hot-water
heating boilers.
This course reviews the
basic regulatory history, Code, and jurisdictional authority of steam and
hot-water boiler systems. It discusses general installation, stamping, and
certification requirements for complete boiler systems. Additionally, a detailed explaination of modular boiler
assemblies related to individual and assembled modules for both steam and hot-water heating
boilers is given.

Outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to:
Explain the regulatory rationale, Code, and organizations
encompassing the installation and inspection of modular
steam and hot-water heating boilers.
Identify and describe the components of individual
modular steam and hot-water heating boilers in accordance with ASME Section IV
and NBIC Part 1, Installation
.
Identify and describe the general requirements for inspection of modular assembly for steam
and
hot-water heating boilers in accordance with ASME Section
IV and NBIC Part 1.
Inspect
a complete modular boiler assembly after it h as been installed at a
facility.

Criteria
for Successful Completion
As a minimum, for a National
Board Certificate of Completion to be issued, students must:
