Identification
of Existing Materials, is an online course
designed
to provide an outline of the "R" Certificate Holder's
responsibilites and the Inspector's involvement for verifying identification of
existing materials and those action necessary for unknown materials.
Learning
Outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to:

Describe the reasons for identifying materials.
Verify
the identification of existing materials.
Identify actions to be taken for unknown material.
Identify
chemical and hardness requirements.
Identify
other types of considerations when dealing with unidentified material.
Recognize
the difference between repairs and alterations as it relates to unknown
materials.
