Installation
of Automatically-Fired Burners, is part of a series of online courses
designed with installers of pressure equipment in mind. The course
first discusses regulations, laws, and standards, then moves into
specific requirements for automatically-fired burners.
At the beginning of
the course students asked to print a "Checklist of Questions" related to the
installation of pressure equipment which may then be used as a guide when
in the field.

Describe how nationally recognized codes and standards
are
used to create local jurisdictional laws and regulations.
Identify codes that are particularly relevant
to installers of pressure-retaining items.

been key to the development of codes and standards.
Compare
different types of boiler fuel.
Define
what is meant by efficient combustion.
Describe
the effects of excess air or insufficient air on the combustion process.
Compare
different types of draft.
Explain
the relevance of stack temperature.
Compare
and contrast four methods for evaluating boiler efficiency.

the functionality of a gas burner.
