The Inspector Diary, is an online course   designed to familiarize the Inspector with the requirements found in RCI-1, Rules for Commissioned Inspectors, and QAI-1, Requirements for Authorized Inspections, concerning the Inspector Diary. Topics include the need to maintain the Inspector Diary, its purpose, ownership, and availability, as well as the requirements regarding format and entries .

Learning Outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to:  

  • Explain the purpose of the Inspector Diary.
  • List the format and availability requirements for the Inspector Diary.
  • Compare requirements for electronic and bound diaries.
  • Define the concept ofcontinuity of inspections and explain how the Inspector Diary supports this concept.
  • Explain how good diary-keeping habits can help in the event of an investigation.
  • List the information that should be included in a good Inspector Diary.
