Training Policies and Notices

In Case of Illness
If you or any immediate member of your family is sick, do not attend classes at the National Board campus. Contact us at training@nationalboard.org or by calling 614.431.3216 to notify us of your absence.

Confirmation Information
Students will receive three emails when enrolling for National Board training: (1) a copy of the enrollment form completed on our website, (2) an enrollment acknowledgement email upon receipt of the enrollment form by the Training Department, and (3) a confirmation email seven weeks prior to the start of class. If you have not received a confirmation email please call the National Board to confirm your enrollment. Note: Please be sure to have the class confirmation before making travel arrangements.

Enrollment Cancellation Policy
Enrollment cancellations must be received at least 90 days prior to the first day of class to ensure a full refund. Cancellations received between 90 days and 45 days prior to the first day of class will receive a 50% refund. No refund will be issued for cancellations received within the 45 days prior to the start of class, nor will tuition be credited for a future class date. For example:

For a class beginning on June 1:
Cancel on or before February 28... Receive 100% refund of tuition
Cancel on or before April 17... Receive 50% refund of tuition
Cancel on or after April 18... No refund will be issued

Requests to move enrollment from one class date to another
must be received by the Training Department 45 days prior to the start of class. Failure to enroll in the correct course will not allow for a refund of tuition, nor credit for a different course. Note: It is the responsibility of the student to ensure enrollment in the correct course.

Substitution of attendees in any class date may be made at any time up until the start of the first day.

Payment Options
Payment via Credit Card
The National Board accepts American Express, MasterCard, and Visa for credit card payment. For security reasons, we do not accept credit card payments via email. If you are unable to enroll/pay using the online enrollment form please contact the National Board Training Department via email or by calling 614.431.3216 for assistance.

Payment via Check or Wire Transfer
Check or wire transfer payments are only accepted for instructor-led training classes. Students wishing to pay by check or wire transfer cannot enroll for training using the online enrollment form but must contact the training department for enrollment information via email or by calling 614.431.3216.

Students paying by check or wire transfer for INSTRUCTOR-LED CLASSES will not be enrolled or guaranteed a seat in the requested class until payment is received. If payment is not received at least 30 days prior to the start of class or is received after a class date becomes full, students will automatically be rescheduled to the next available class date, as class size is limited.

Travel Documents (Visa Invitation Letters)
Students traveling from abroad may request a visa invitation letter AFTER enrolling in a training class by sending a request via email to the Training Department.

All travel documents (e.g., passports and visas) are the responsibility of the student, and cancellation of an enrollment due to expired or denied travel documents must be made to the Training Department at least 30 days prior to the start of class. Students should allow themselves enough time to obtain all travel documents when enrolling. Failure to notify the Training Department will result in forfeiture of tuition, and will not be credited toward a future class date.

Learner Transcript Information
It is the policy of the National Board to maintain a record, or transcript, for each student that has attended National Board training, for a minimum of seven years. Transcripts include instructor-led classes; online courses; examinations; and any credentials received. This information is available through the student's Business Center account, under the Education Center menu. Students may access this information by going to the Reports drop down under Education Center, or by clicking the View/Edit My Profile link. Students may also print certificates for their online courses; update their contact information; and enroll in additional online training.

Student information and transcripts, as well as the input, maintenance, and release of student information, are always confidential. It is the policy of the National Board Training Department to refrain from releasing any student information. Students may access their own information by logging into the National Board Business Center to view their accounts and transcript.

Student IDs will be checked upon registration and again when given an exam to ensure the person taking the course is the same person who takes the exam. Student information must match roster information. Instructors match the ID, person and signature before giving the student an exam.
